Chemical Engineering is the branch of engineering that applies scientific and mathematical principles to design and develop processes by which available chemicals can be converted into a variety of useful products. Chemical Engineering is applicable to a wide range of technologies, including the production of energy, materials, electronics, and pharmaceuticals, the processing of food, and environmental protection and remediation. Chemical Engineering is an ever evolving and fascinating branch of engineering having exceptionally high science orientation. It is highly science based and the most versatile disciplines. Chemical Engineering enjoys a special and critical place in scientific and engineering disciples. It deals with world of atoms, molecules and molecular transformations and right from inception.
The department consists of highly qualified, young and dynamic faculties. The department is having latest instruments. The department is keen to establish strong relationship with the industries to give practical exposure to the students. The department offers consultancy services to the industries.

As students of Chemical Engineering Department you’ll be learning the concepts and application of concepts of Chemical Engineering in various fields like Production, Maintenance, and development of new process or product. With the combination of concepts of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer and chemical reaction engineering you will be able to innovate or modify new process. There are various field in which chemical engineer can impart their knowledge such as Nanotechnology, Oil & Gas Refinery, Petrochemicals sector, fine and Intermediate Chemicals, Agro-Products, Pharmaceuticals and many more.

In Chemistry lab, students learn analysis of organic and inorganic chemistry by application of equipment and also manually by using titration method. In lab they also learn to develop product using series of chemicals like preparation of dyes and fine chemicals.In Fluid Flow lab, students are trained to operate pumps and flow meter and application of pumps and flow meter and concepts of fluid mechanics. This practice can be used in designing and layout of piping network in most Industries and maintenance of fluid handling devices.
